Please make sure you are ordering a hard drive with the right connector. Your options are SATA and IDE (A.K.A. ATA). If your current hard drive has a wide data cable, you probably need IDE. If your current hard drive has a narrow/stiff cable (around .25" - .5") then you probably need SATA. Please ask if you are not sure.

This is a fast hard drive as you can tell by the transfer rate and buffer size. This is about half a terabyte. Keep in mind that once formatted, you will have closer to 450GB of usable space.

This hard drive needs to be installed and formatted before it can be used. If you are replacing your existing hard drive, Windows would have to be either reinstalled (along with all your software) or if possible, moved from your old hard drive.
